The possessive Form of Nouns.
the possesive Form of Nouns:
*Use the possesive Form of a Noun To show ownership.
* To make the possesive form, put an apostrophe and an S: 'S after a singular Noun.
Examples:
1-This is my bed and that's peter's bed.
2- we all like Dad's Cooking.
3- it is my job to collect everybody's plate after the meal.
4- the flies are buzzing around the horse's Tail.
5- This is Susan and Jenny's room.
6- This is Tom's Hat and that is tom's Father Hat.
* Notes:
1- How do you make the possesive Form when two names linke by and are the owners?. Put an 'S after the second name only.
Examples:
1- Katy and Mike's House is very big: (the house that belongs to Both katy and mike).
2- Joe and sarah's Dad works at the shoe factory: ( He is Joe's Dad and also sarah's Dad).
2- Sometimes two possesive forms with 's appear together, one after the other.
Examples:
1-this is jhon's brother's ball: ( the ball belongs to jhon's brother).
2-Paul's teacher house has a swimming pool: ( The house that belongs to paul's teacher).
2- After Plural nouns that don't end in S, use an apostrophe and an S: 'S to make the possesive form.
Examples:
1- The children's room is always messy.
2-Some people's Houses are bigger Than ours.
3- Rat's tails arelonger than mice's Tails.
4- Men's Voice are deeper than woman's voices.
3- After plural nouns that end in S, just add an apostrophe: S'.
Examples:
1- The pupils' Desk are arranged in rows.
2-The Boys' bedroom is bigger than the girls' bedroom.
3-The strong winds destroyed all the farmers' crops.
4-Mice's tails are shorter than rats' tails.
NOTES:
*When a name ends in S, you can make the possesive Form in either of two ways:
1- Add an apostrophe and an S: 'S
*Examples:
1- This is james's House.
2- Which is charles's Bike?
2-Add just an apostrophe: '.

1- This is james' House.
